Welcome

The Ponte Vedra Athletic Association (PVAA) is a multi-sport recreational league for children in Northeast St. Johns County.  PVAA serves as a liaison between the St. John’s County Department of Parks and Recreation and our member sports.  St. John’s County manages and maintains area facilities such as Davis ParkCornerstone ParkNocatee Athletic Fields, and the Landrum Middle School fields.  The PVAA operates the youth sports programs at those fields and facilities.

The PVAA’s drawing area is contiguous with the Landrum Middle School attendance zone, and the PVAA is principally responsible for providing youth sports opportunities for children residing within this area.

PVAA is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board consist of administrators elected by the membership of the PVAA, along with the commissioners of each PVAA sport.  PVAA board member serve two-year terms.

The PVAA is an all-volunteer organization, whose coaches and administrators donate their time for the benefit of the youth in our community.*

Coaching

PVAA is committed to making sure our coaches are well-trained, not only in the skills required for their respective sports, but more importantly to reflect the core mission and values of the PVAA.  Above all else, youth sports should be fun, with an emphasis on player development over outcomes.

In conjunction with St. Johns County, PVAA has developed a coaches training program that combines the convenience of on-line training with general coaching and sport specific training. Each sport will provide specific instructions regarding certification and training. For more information on how to use the site and become a certified PVAA coach, please review the document on the Coaches Training page on this site.

NOTE: All potential PVAA coaches must submit to a background check conducted by St. Johns County.  All prospective coaches MUST provide their social security number to St. John’s County for a background check.  This is a non-negotiable requirement to coach in St. John’s County.
